What Polita+ is and how it works
What is Polita+?

Polita+ is the badge and cosmetic layer for Polita. Your Hub lets you choose badges, customise supported cosmetics, claim drops, and connect your selected look to supported Twitch chat pages through the Polita extension.

What is My Hub?

My Hub is your Polita account area. It shows your owned badges, selected badge, membership tools, custom badge slots, effects, drops, and account status.

Do I need the extension?

Yes, the extension is needed for Polita badge cosmetics to appear inside supported Twitch chat pages. The website Hub controls what you choose; the extension displays it in Twitch chat.

Can I change my badge?

Yes. Open My Hub, choose an owned badge or approved custom badge, then save/equip it. Refresh Twitch chat so the extension can fetch your latest selection.

Can I upload any image?

Custom badge uploads can use supported image formats, including Twitch-style emotes or third-party emote images, as long as the upload follows Polita rules and passes review.

How many custom badge slots do I get?

Polita+ Custom gives up to 5 static custom badge slots. Polita+ Animated gives up to 5 static slots and 5 animated slots, depending on active membership and available tools.

Do custom badges need approval?

Yes. Uploaded custom badges may need admin approval before they can be used publicly. This protects the platform, streamers, viewers, and Twitch chat experience.

Can I use animated badges?

Animated custom badges are for the Polita+ Animated tier. GIF uploads are supported within the current upload limits and may need approval before use.

What badge effects can I use?

Supported effects may include colour options, glow, outline, gradient, background style, and other cosmetic tools. Effects apply based on the badge, tier, and current Hub options.

Can I change my badge whenever I want?

Yes. You can switch between owned badges and saved approved custom badges in My Hub. After changing your badge, refresh Twitch chat so the extension updates.

Drops, claim codes, and rewards

How limited badges work
How do drops work?

Drops are limited badge events. Some are free to claim, some may use a code, and some may be tied to special campaigns, streams, memberships, or future Polita features.

Why does a drop say Claimed?

That usually means you already own that badge. Check My Hub to confirm it is in your owned badge list.

What are streamer giveaway codes?

Polita can provide streamer event codes for limited badges, membership trials, or special community rewards. Codes may expire or have limited uses.

Can I sell badges?

No. Real-money trading, cash-out, external selling, or badge reselling outside Polita is not supported.

Installing the extension

  1. Open the Polita Extension page
  2. Install from the Chrome Web Store when listed, or use the manual install option if Polita gives you one
  3. Enable or pin the extension
  4. Open Twitch chat and refresh the page
Microsoft Edge
  1. Install from Microsoft Edge Add-ons when listed
  2. Or allow trusted Chrome Web Store extensions if Polita directs you there
  3. Enable the extension in Edge
  4. Refresh Twitch chat
Firefox
  1. Install from Firefox Add-ons when available
  2. Click Add to Firefox
  3. Enable the extension
  4. Refresh Twitch chat
Safari on Mac
  1. Install Polita from the Mac App Store when available
  2. Open Safari
  3. Go to Safari → Settings → Extensions
  4. Tick/enable Polita
  5. Refresh Twitch chat
Safari on iPhone or iPad

iPhone and iPad support depends on whether Polita releases an iOS Safari extension or app. If available, install from the App Store and enable it in Safari extension settings.

Manual or developer install

Only use manual install if Polita tells you to. Download the extension ZIP, unzip it, load it in your browser extension/developer page, then refresh Twitch chat.

The extension must be installed and enabled in the browser where you watch Twitch chat. Changing a badge in My Hub does not update an already-open Twitch chat until the extension refreshes or the chat page is reloaded.

Badge not showing in Twitch chat

Try these steps first
Make sure the Polita extension is installed and enabled in the browser you are using for Twitch.
Refresh the Twitch chat page, stream page, or popout chat window.
Close the Twitch tab and open it again if the chat has been open for a long time.
Check that you are logged into the correct Twitch account.
Open My Hub and confirm the badge you want is equipped or selected.
Hard refresh My Hub with Ctrl + F5, then refresh Twitch chat again.
Disable and re-enable the Polita extension, then reload Twitch.
Restart the browser if the extension still does not update.
Use the contact bubble if the badge still does not show after these steps.
Most badge display issues are fixed by refreshing Twitch chat after saving or changing something in My Hub.

My Hub troubleshooting

When the Hub looks wrong, stuck, or out of date
My Hub is not updating
  1. Wait a few seconds after claiming, uploading, saving, or subscribing
  2. Press Ctrl + F5 to hard refresh the page
  3. Close the Hub tab and open My Hub again
  4. Log out of Polita and log back in
  5. Check the correct Twitch username is shown in the Hub
  6. Try another browser if the problem continues
  7. Use the contact bubble if it still looks wrong
My selected badge changed but Twitch did not

Save/equip the badge in My Hub, then refresh Twitch chat. The website and extension are separate: the Hub saves your choice, and the extension fetches it for Twitch chat.

I claimed a drop but do not see it

Hard refresh My Hub, check your owned badge list, and make sure you are logged into the same Twitch account you used to claim the drop.

I uploaded a custom badge but cannot use it

The upload may be pending approval. If it is rejected or stuck, use the contact bubble and include your Twitch username and what you uploaded.

My Hub loaded as Guest

Close the Hub tab, open it again, then log in. If it still looks wrong, press Ctrl + F5 or log out and back in.

Subscription and payment help

Stripe, membership access, and account updates
My subscription did not update

After checkout, refresh Subscribe and My Hub. If it still does not update, log out and back in. If payment completed but access is missing, use the contact bubble.

What happens if my subscription ends?

Your paid membership tools may stop being usable. Existing ownership and saved data may remain, but paid effects, uploads, animated badges, or membership features may require an active plan.

Can I change tier later?

Membership options may be managed through the Subscribe page and Stripe billing tools when available.

Can I get help with billing?

Yes. Use the contact bubble and include your Twitch username, the tier you expected, and what happened after checkout.

How do I contact Polita support?

Use the small floating contact bubble on the site. You can ask anything at any time, including badge help, subscription questions, upload issues, drop problems, or streamer setup questions.

What should I include?

Include your Twitch username, what page you were on, what you expected to happen, what actually happened, and whether you already tried refreshing, logging out, or reinstalling the extension.

Where is the contact button?

Look for the small contact/support bubble floating on the page. It is separate from your Hub and is there for help.

What can I ask?

Anything about Polita+, custom badges, animated badges, drops, extension setup, subscriptions, Twitch chat display, or account issues.

If something feels stuck, do not keep guessing. Use the contact bubble and explain what you already tried.
